Job Description

UK Head of HR (or Senior HR Manager)

\n

Hybrid / Remote (UK) | Regular UK Travel | Professional Services

\n

Our client is a fast-growing, private equity-backed professional services group looking to appoint an experienced HR leader to take ownership of the UK people agenda during an exciting period of growth, acquisition and integration.

\n

Reporting into the Group Chief Human Resources Officer and working closely with the UK COO, this is a broad and commercially focused leadership role. You'll act as the senior HR lead across the UK business, partnering with senior stakeholders to support continued growth while ensuring an outstanding employee experience.

\n

This is an opportunity to shape the HR function rather than simply maintain it.

\n

Key responsibilities will include:

\n
    \n
  • Leading the UK HR function across approximately 95 employees.
  • \n
  • Partnering with senior leadership on organisational design, workforce planning and succession.
  • \n
  • Supporting acquisitions, business integration and organisational change.
  • \n
  • Acting as the trusted adviser on complex employee relations and UK employment law.
  • \n
  • Owning HR governance, policies and compliance.
  • \n
  • Overseeing UK payroll, reward and benefits.
  • \n
  • Driving recruitment, onboarding, performance management and leadership development.
  • \n
  • Developing HR systems, reporting and people analytics.
  • \n
  • Working closely with international colleagues to ensure consistency across the wider group.
  • \n
\n

We're looking for an experienced HR professional who combines strategic thinking with a willingness to remain hands-on.

\n

You'll ideally bring:

\n
    \n
  • Significant HR leadership experience within a professional services business (accountancy, legal, consulting or similar).
  • \n
  • Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
  • \n
  • Experience supporting business growth, acquisitions or organisational change.
  • \n
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills and the credibility to influence senior leaders.
  • \n
  • Experience overseeing UK payroll and HR compliance.
  • \n
  • CIPD qualification (or equivalent experience).
  • \n
  • Experience within a private equity-backed or acquisitive environment would be advantageous.
  • \n
\n

Why Apply?

\n

This isn't a traditional HR Manager position. It's an opportunity to play a key role in the next stage of growth for an ambitious, acquisitive business where HR is viewed as a genuine commercial partner.

\n

If you're looking for a role where you can influence strategy, support business transformation and help shape the future of a growing organisation, we'd love to hear from you.
