Bookkeeper

A highly respected mid sized accountancy practice, based in Hertfordshire is looking to recruit an experienced client bookkeeper to join the team. Working with a varied portfolio of clients, you will be responsible for delivering accurate and timely bookkeeping, VAT returns, assisting in the day-to-day operations of clients and if experienced, management accounts. This is a hybrid role offering the opportunity to work within a friendly and professional team.Key Responsibilities\n

• Maintain accurate bookkeeping records for a varied portfolio of clients.
\n
• Act as the first point of contact for day-to-day bookkeeping queries.
\n
• Provide bookkeeping software support and training to clients where required.
\n
• Prepare and submit VAT returns in line with HMRC requirements.
\n
• If experienced, preparing management accounts and reports/data.
\n
• Work with cloud-based and desktop accounting software including Xero, QuickBooks, Sage and Dext.
\n

Experience & Qualifications\n

\n
• 3 years + bookkeeping experience gained within a UK accountancy practice or outsourcing environment.
\n
• Experience managing a portfolio of clients would be highly advantageous.
\n
• Experience preparing management accounts would be beneficial but is not essential.
\n
• Strong knowledge of Xero, QuickBooks, Sage and other cloud accounting software.
\n
• Excellent communication skills with a proactive and organised approach.
\n
