Day-to-day of the role:

  • Take ownership of statutory and group reporting, audit management, and technical accounting across the organisation.
  • \n
  • Lead the preparation of UK and Group statutory accounts in line with IFRS and relevant local GAAP.
  • \n
  • Manage the year-end audit process, acting as the primary contact for external auditors.
  • \n
  • Oversee complex accounting areas including leases (IFRS 16), share-based payments, and reserves.
  • \n
  • Develop and enhance group cash flow and profit forecasting models.
  • \n
  • Produce board-level reporting, including scenario analysis and key financial insights.
  • \n
  • Ensure consistency and integrity across international reporting frameworks.
  • \n
  • Oversee reconciliation between statutory and management accounts.
  • \n
  • Support the delivery of local statutory filings, dividends, and corporate governance processes.
  • \n
  • Strengthen internal controls, policies, and risk management frameworks.
  • \n
  • Partner with global finance teams, tax, legal, and company secretarial functions.
  • \n
  • Communicate complex concepts clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
  • \n
  • Build strong relationships across senior leadership and board level.
  • \n

Required Skills & Qualifications:

    \n
  • ACA / CA (or equivalent), ideally trained within a Big 4 or leading practice firm.
  • \n
  • 5+ years post-qualified experience.
  • \n
  • Strong background in statutory reporting, IFRS, and audit.
  • \n
  • Experience working in a multi-entity or international environment.
  • \n
  • Advanced Excel and financial modelling capability.
  • \n
  • Highly technical with strong attention to detail.
  • \n
  • Commercially aware and strategic in thinking.
  • \n
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
  • \n
  • Proactive, hands-on, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
  • \n
  • Able to operate independently and add structure in a growing function.
  • \n
