Pre Kit Technician

£15.00 per hour | Full Time | Permanent

We're recruiting for a well-established precision engineering company looking for a Pre-Kit Technician to support their busy CNC machining department.

The role is all about making sure the machinists have the right tools, fixtures, inserts and gauges ready before every job starts, helping production run as efficiently as possible.

• Preparing tooling and components ready for upcoming CNC jobs
\n
• Collecting tools, inserts, fixtures, gauges and consumables
\n
• Checking kits against job sheets and engineering paperwork
\n
• De-kitting tooling after production and returning items correctly
\n
• Monitoring tooling stock levels and reporting shortages
\n
• Updating stock movements on the ERP/MRP system
\n
• Working closely with machinists, planners and production
\n
• Helping maintain a clean, organised and efficient work area
\n

• Has a good understanding of engineering components or tooling

• Is organised with excellent attention to detail

• Enjoys working in a hands-on technical environment

• Can read and follow engineering paperwork
\n
• Works well as part of a team
\n
• Is keen to learn and develop
\n
