Job Description
Our client is looking for a motivated Buyer to join their busy and growing Procurement team. This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established business that combines the agility of an SME.
\nThis role is ideal for someone with purchasing experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and is looking to develop their career within procurement. You'll play a key role in ensuring stock availability, managing supplier relationships and supporting the wider supply chain function, with the opportunity to become more involved in strategic buying as the business continues to evolve.

Key Responsibilities for a Buyer:\n- \n
- Raise and manage purchase requisitions and purchase orders. \n
- Source products and obtain quotations for customer requirements. \n
- Monitor stock levels and order materials in line with MRP and business demand. \n
- Build strong relationships with UK and international suppliers, ensuring products are delivered on time. \n
- Manage supplier communications, delivery schedules and resolve supply issues. \n
- Support inventory management, forecasting and supply chain planning. \n
- Negotiate pricing where appropriate and identify cost-saving opportunities. \n
- Work closely with Sales, Warehouse, Finance and other internal departments to ensure excellent customer service. \n
- Identify process improvements and support continuous improvement initiatives within Procurement. \n
- \n
- Previous experience within a Buyer, Purchasing or Procurement role is essential. \n
- Experience using MRP or ERP systems. \n
- Strong supplier management and purchasing experience. \n
- Inventory management and stock control knowledge. \n
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities. \n
- Strong communication skills and the confidence to build relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders. \n
- A resilient, proactive approach with the ability to thrive in a busy, fast-paced environment. \n
- CIPS qualification or working towards CIPS would be advantageous but is not essential. \n
