Acorn by Synergie is recruiting for a CNC Machine Operator to join a well-established, family-run engineering company based in Witheridge, near Tiverton.

This is an excellent permanent opportunity for someone with CNC turning and milling experience, or for a technically minded individual looking to develop a long-term career in precision engineering. Full training is available for the right candidate, with genuine opportunities to progress to a CNC Setter.

  Operate CNC turning and milling machines to manufacture precision-engineered components.

  Load and unload raw materials and finished products.

\n
• \n

  Produce components accurately to engineering drawings and specifications.

\n
• \n

  Carry out quality inspections using measuring equipment.

\n
• \n

  Read and interpret engineering drawings and work instructions.

\n
• \n

  Identify and report machine or quality issues promptly.

\n
• \n

  Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment.

\n
• \n

  Follow company quality standards and health and safety procedures.

\n

  Previous experience operating CNC turning and milling machines is beneficial but not essential.

• \n

  Full training provided for candidates with a strong technical aptitude and willingness to learn.

• \n

  Experience within engineering, manufacturing, machining, or machine operation is advantageous.

• \n

  Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings is desirable.

\n
• \n

  Good attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.

• \n

  Reliable, practical, and able to work effectively as part of a team.

  Own transport is essential due to the location.
