This role may be of interest if you have operational experience in manufacturing, production, plant operations, construction or other heavy industry.What You'll Be DoingAs Multi Skilled Operative you'll play a key role in the safe and efficient day-to-day operation of the asphalt plant ensuring products are produced to specification and customers receive excellent service. This will include:Mixing and producing asphalt products to customer specificationsOperating fixed and mobile plant equipmentAssisting in achieving daily and weekly production targets and planning daily operational activitiesMonitoring stock levels and assisting with material replenishmentCarrying out weighbridge dutiesOperating a loading shovelPerforming routine plant inspections and reporting defectsSupporting planned maintenance activitiesMaintaining high housekeeping standards across site and ensuring health, safety, environmental and quality standards are adhered to at all timesWorking closely with colleagues to deliver excellent customer service and on-time deliveriesWhat We're Looking ForIf you have experience operating mobile plant within asphalt, aggregates or construction materials production then this would be ideal but we also welcome applications from those with experience in manufacturing operations, production, industrial, heavy plant or other site based operations too.Suitable candidates will also possess:A strong work ethic and positive attitudeGood communication skillsAbility to work safely and follow proceduresProactive approach to problem-solvingFlexibility and reliabilityFull UK Driving LicenceBasic IT skillsLoading Shovel Licence (preferred)Don't worry if you don't have direct asphalt experience. Passion, commitment and a willingness to learn are just as important to us as technical experience.
