Job SummaryCMS Recruitment seeking a talented and detail-oriented Draughtsperson, specializing in Cladding and Roofing to join our dynamic design team In Durham. In this role, you will be responsible for translating architectural concepts into precise technical drawings and schematics that guide the construction of high-quality cladding and roofing systems. Your expertise will ensure that designs are accurately represented, feasible for construction, and aligned with project specifications. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to innovative building solutions while honing your skills in a collaborative environment.DutiesDevelop detailed 2D and 3D drawings for cladding and roofing projects using CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, ArchiCAD, MicroStation, and SolidWorks.Create accurate schematics, system designs, and construction documentation to facilitate seamless project execution.Utilize design tools like SketchUp, Rhino 3D, Grasshopper 3D, and 3ds Max to visualize concepts and produce realistic renderings.Collaborate closely with architects, engineers, and construction teams to review design feasibility and resolve technical issues early in the process.Prepare comprehensive technical reports, system layouts, and graphic presentations that clearly communicate design intent.Assist in reviewing project specifications and ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.Support the integration of innovative materials and techniques into design proposals to enhance durability and aesthetic appeal.RequirementsProven experience with CAD software including AutoCAD, Revit, ArchiCAD, MicroStation, or SolidWorks is essential.Strong proficiency in SketchUp, Rhino 3D (including Grasshopper), 3ds Max, and related visualization tools.Familiarity with schematic development, system design, and construction documentation for cladding and roofing projects.Ability to interpret architectural drawings, technical schematics, and engineering specifications accurately.Excellent graphic design skills with an eye for detail and clarity in visual communication.Knowledge of industry standards related to cladding systems, roofing materials, safety protocols, and building codes.Strong teamwork skills with the ability to coordinate effectively across multidisciplinary teams.We value creativity, precision, and proactive problem-solvingqualities that drive our success in delivering exceptional cladding and roofing designs.This is an office based job37 hours per week - Monday to Thursday 8am- 5pm Fridays 8am-2pmTo Apply please send an up to date CVPlease send an up to date CV to applyBenefits:Company eventsCompany pensionEmployee mentoring programmeOn-site parkingTPBN1_UKTJ
