Join a leading, well-established family law practice in the Southwest, known for its high-quality family law work. They are seeking an experienced Senior Family Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive with Family Practice Rights (litigation and advocacy) with 5+ years’ PQE. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a modern, progressive firm and manage your own caseload while being part of a supportive and professional team.

Day-to-day of the role:

\n
• Manage a caseload of Divorce and Private Law Children proceedings, representing clients across courts predominantly in the Southwest but also further afield.
\n
• Develop specialisms in more esoteric areas of family law, particularly if you have a special interest.
\n
• Conduct your own advocacy as appropriate.
\n
• Maintain professional accreditations and engage with Resolution regional groups.
\n
• Supervise fellow fee earners and nurture trainees.
\n
• Travel for meetings and court dates; ability to drive and daily access to a car is essential.
\n

Required Skills & Qualifications:

\n
• Qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive with Family Practice Rights (litigation and advocacy) and 5+ years’ PQE in family law.
\n
• Member of Resolution.
\n
• Excellent client care and communication skills.
\n
• Familiarity with case management systems (LEAP preferred but not essential).
\n
• Interest in NCDR.
\n
• Mediation trained or accredited (desirable).
\n
• Ability to work in a paperless environment.
\n
