Job Description

One of our clients is looking to a point a Finance Business Partner to support a portfolio of SME clients. This is a relationship-driven role focused on providing financial insight, strategic guidance, and commercial support, rather than carrying out the day-to-day compliance work.

Working closely with business owners, you'll help them understand their financial performance, identify opportunities for growth, and make informed decisions. You'll become a trusted adviser, offering proactive support and ensuring clients get maximum value from the firm's wider services.

The Role

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing relationships with a portfolio of business clients.
  • \n
  • Acting as a trusted adviser and first point of contact.
  • \n
  • Reviewing management information and discussing business performance with clients.
  • \n
  • Providing commercial insight and practical recommendations.
  • \n
  • Supporting budgeting, forecasting, and business planning discussions.
  • \n
  • Identifying opportunities, risks, and areas for improvement.
  • \n
  • Collaborating with internal teams to ensure an excellent client experience.
  • \n
  • Managing client engagement, retention, and service delivery.
  • \n

This position offers a blend of account management, financial review, and business partnering, making it ideal for someone who enjoys advising clients and building long-term relationships.

About You

\n

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Previous experience within an accountancy practice or outsourced finance environment.
  • \n
  • Strong client-facing and relationship management skills.
  • \n
  • Experience reviewing management accounts and discussing financial performance.
  • \n
  • The ability to explain financial information in a clear, practical way.
  • \n
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • \n
  • Familiarity with systems such as Xero, QuickBooks, or similar.
  • \n
  • ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent experience (qualification not essential).
  • \n
