Air Export Operator

Right Now Group are currently recruiting for an Air Export Operator to join a well-established international freight forwarder based in Manchester. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating end-to-end air export shipments, ensuring all documentation, customs requirements, and customer expectations are met while maintaining the highest levels of service.

Position: Air Export OperatorLocation: ManchesterHours: Monday - Friday, 09:00 - 17:30Salary: Up to £30,000 (depending on experience)

• Coordinate end-to-end Air Export shipments from booking through to departure.
\n
• Prepare and process export documentation, including MAWBs, HAWBs, commercial invoices, packing lists, and shipping instructions.
\n
• Complete and submit export customs entries, ensuring compliance with HMRC regulations.
\n
• Liaise with airlines, handling agents, overseas offices, hauliers, and customers to ensure the smooth movement of freight.
\n
• Arrange collections, consolidations, and final dispatch of export shipments.
\n
• Monitor shipment progress and provide proactive updates to customers, resolving any operational issues promptly.
\n
• Maintain accurate job files and operational records using freight forwarding systems.
\n
• Ensure all export shipments comply with airline security procedures, customs regulations, and company operating standards.
\n
• Support the wider operations team with general administration and operational duties when required.
\n

• Previous experience within Air Export Freight Forwarding is desirable.
\n
• Knowledge of Air Export documentation, including MAWBs, HAWBs, and customs procedures.
\n
• Experience completing export customs entries would be advantageous.
\n
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
\n
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple shipments simultaneously.
\n
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and freight forwarding systems.
\n
• A proactive, detail-oriented individual with a willingness to learn and develop within freight forwarding.
\n
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
