Senior Accounts Assistant – 1 Year FTC\n

Chessington, Surrey (Hybrid – 3 days in the office)| £33,000 - £35,000 | 1 year FTC, hybrid working

We're recruiting for a Senior Accounts Assistant to join a busy finance team on a 1 year maternity cover, based in Chessington with hybrid working (3 days in the office).

\n

You'll work closely with the Finance Manager, keeping month-end running smoothly and pitching in across the wider business along the way.

\n

What you'll be doing

  • Daily accounting tasks, including sales and purchase ledger
    • \n
  • Liaising with the Finance Manager to keep month-end tasks on track
    • \n
  • Collating supplier payments and processing them into HSBC for authorisation
    • \n
  • Keeping bank payments and receipts up to date
    • \n
  • Reconciling bank statements, including month-end
    • \n
  • Assisting the Finance Manager with month-end close - posting journals and preparing reconciliations
    • \n
  • Supporting other team members to help meet accuracy and reporting deadlines
    • \n

What we're looking for

  • Previous experience in a similar role
    • \n
  • Good IT skills and confidence picking up new systems
    • \n
  • A team player with excellent attention to detail
    • \n
  • Strong written and verbal communication
    • \n
  • Solid all-round accounts knowledge
    • \n
  • Advanced proficiency with Sage 50
    • \n
  • Preferred: experience working in an international environment or with multiple currencies
    • \n
  • Preferred: AAT or equivalent
    • \n
