Mechanical Technician – Power StationCompetitive salary depending on experience + benefitsSleaford, LincolnshireSCINERGY Recruitment are recruiting for a Mechanical Technician to join the maintenance department of a biomass power station near in Sleaford, Lincolnshire.This role focuses on delivering safe, reliable mechanical maintenance across the plant, supporting availability, efficiency and long-term asset performance. The successful candidate will work closely with operations and engineering teams to ensure all mechanical equipment is maintained to a high standard.The role will involve:Planned and reactive mechanical maintenance on rotating and static plant equipmentMaintenance and overhaul of pumps, valves, gearboxes, conveyors, compressors and associated systemsSupporting maintenance activities on boilers, fuel handling and auxiliary plantCarrying out fault-finding, defect rectification and first-line repairsCompleting maintenance activities in line with site procedures, permits and isolation requirementsUpdating maintenance records and work orders within the CMMSSupporting outages and shutdown activities as requiredWorking alongside specialist contractors and equipment vendorsMaintaining high standards of health, safety, environmental compliance and housekeepingTo be considered for this role, you should have:A recognised mechanical qualification (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent) with a completed apprenticeshipExperience working in an industrial or process environment such as power generation, refining, paper production etc. Marine Engineers from the Navy will also be consideredStrong mechanical fault-finding and maintenance experience on equipment such as pumps, valves, gearboxes, compressors, conveyor systems etcAbility to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary site teamA strong understanding of safe systems of work and permit-to-work proceduresWhat's on offer:Competitive salary, dependent on experienceCompany pensionEV car schemeCash back health planOvertimeOngoing training and developmentFor further information or to apply please contact Steve Utton at SCINERGY Recruitment on 07441 955 901 orTPBN1_UKTJ
