HR Assistant Location: Aberdeen Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent Working Pattern: Hybrid working available following successful completion of training. About the Role Our client, a well-established and highly successful organisation within the energy sector, is seeking an organised and proactive HR Assistant to join its Aberdeen team. This opportunity would suit a recent college leaver, university graduate, business graduate, or an experienced administrator or coordinator looking to build a career in Human Resources. The role is heavily focused on supporting employee onboarding, compliance activities, workforce administration and HR operations. You will play a key role in ensuring new employees have a positive start with the business, employee medical requirements are efficiently managed, and the HR team is supported with reporting, employee relations activities and ongoing people initiatives. Working closely with the HR team, you will gain exposure to a broad range of HR activities while developing valuable skills in employee relations, compliance, reporting and people administration. Key Responsibilities Organise, schedule and track employee medicals, ensuring records remain up to date and compliant Coordinate and deliver onshore inductions for new employees, providing a positive onboarding experience Prepare HR administration documentation including contracts, employment letters and employee communications Create content and supporting reports for HR board papers and management meetings Maintain accurate HR records and employee data across HR systems Support recruitment activities, including interview scheduling and offer administration Assist with onboarding and employee lifecycle administration from hire through to departure Become involved in a variety of HR casework activities, supporting the HR team with investigations, absence management, disciplinary and grievance processes as appropriate Respond to employee queries and provide first-line HR support Assist with HR reporting, audits and compliance requirements Support employee engagement initiatives, wellbeing activities and company events Provide general administrative and coordination support across the HR functionAbout You We are interested in hearing from candidates who are looking to develop a career within Human Resources and enjoy working in a fast-paced, people-focused environment.
