Gate & Barrier Engineer North London, Essex & Surrounding AreasUp to £20 per hour + Door-to-Door Travel + Excellent Overtime + Company VehicleTSM Technical are recruiting on behalf of a well-established specialist within the security and access control industry for an experienced Gate & Barrier Engineer to join their growing engineering team.This is a varied field-based role covering North London, Essex and the surrounding areas , carrying out the installation, service, maintenance, repair and commissioning of automatic gates, barriers, blockers, turnstiles and associated access control systems.If you're looking for a role with excellent earning potential, ongoing training and the opportunity to work on a wide range of security products, we'd love to hear from you.The Role As a Gate & Barrier Engineer, your responsibilities will include:Installation of automatic gates, barriers, blockers and turnstiles.Planned preventative maintenance (PPM).Reactive breakdowns, fault finding and repairs.Commissioning of new installations.Conducting site surveys and producing detailed reports.Completing electronic service documentation.Delivering excellent customer service on-site.Participating in a 1-in-4 out-of-hours call-out rota.Working safely in outdoor environments in all weather conditions.About You We're looking for someone with:Previous experience servicing, maintaining or installing gate and barrier systems.Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills.Experience commissioning equipment.A full UK driving licence.Good communication and customer service skills.The ability to work independently and manage your own workload.A positive attitude and willingness to learn.Desirable Experience Experience in any of the following would be advantageous:18th Edition Electrical Qualification.Three-phase electrics and 24V AC/DC controls.PLC controls.Mechanical engineering.Hydraulic or pneumatic systems.Welding experience.ECS, CSCS, CCNSG, SSSTS or SMSTS.Access control systems.Health & Safety qualifications.Salary & Benefits Up to £20per hour40-hour working weekPaid door-to-doorCompany vehicle and fuel cardUncapped overtimeOvertime paid at time and one-third after 40 hours Monday-Friday and for the first four hours on SaturdaysDouble time before 6am Monday-Saturday, after the first four hours on Saturdays, Sundays, Bank Holidays and scheduled night works (10pm-6am)Standby allowance of £120 per week (1-in-4 rota)Call-out payments: £25 Monday-Thursday£35 Friday-Sunday£50 Bank Holidays22 days annual leave plus Bank HolidaysAdditional 3 days annual leave after 2 years' serviceNEST Pension Scheme (8% total contribution)Uniform, PPE, mobile phone and tools providedWorking Hours Predominantly Monday to FridayRegular overtime availableWeekend and occasional night work requiredParticipation in a 1-in-4 call-out rotaAdditional Information Successful applicants must be able to obtain security clearance.Occasional overnight stays may be required depending on workload.Some overseas travel may be available but is entirely optional.The role is predominantly field-based and outdoors.Apply If you're an experienced Gate & Barrier Engineer looking to join a reputable company that offers long-term career prospects, excellent overtime opportunities and ongoing training, we'd love to hear from you.Apply today with your CV or contact TSM Technical for a confidential discussion.TPBN1_UKTJ
