Nursing Assistant (Fixed-Term Maternity Cover)Swale Barn VetsJoin Our TeamWe're looking for a caring and enthusiastic Nursing Assistant to join our friendly team at Swale Barn Vets on a fixed-term maternity cover contract, starting in early August .If you love working with animals, enjoy being part of a supportive team, and thrive in a busy clinical environment, we'd love to hear from you. You'll play an important role in supporting our veterinary nurses and vets, helping to provide exceptional patient care while ensuring the practice runs smoothly every day.The RoleLocation: Swale Barn VetsContract: Fixed-Term (Maternity Cover)Hours: Monday-Friday, 12:00pm-6:00pmWeekend Work: NoneWhat You'll Be DoingAs a Nursing Assistant, you'll support the clinical team with a variety of essential duties, including:Maintaining excellent standards of cleanliness throughout the practiceRestocking treatment rooms and clinical areasCleaning and sterilising surgical instruments and equipmentAssisting with the safe handling and restraint of patientsCaring for hospitalised patients, including feeding, walking and maintaining clean kennelsPreparing simple in-house laboratory samplesSupporting the nursing and veterinary teams with day-to-day clinical tasksProviding occasional reception support when requiredAbout YouWe're looking for someone who is:Passionate about animal careReliable, organised and eager to learnA positive and supportive team playerComfortable working in a fast-paced clinical environmentPrevious veterinary experience or an animal-related qualification would be an advantage, but it's not essential .
