Your new company is a specialist insurance business seeking a Technician to support across Open Market, Lineslip and Binding Authority work, including in-house Binding Authorities. The role will cover business across the USA, the Caribbean and a small amount of Canada, with the main classes including Property, Mortgage Impairment, Forced Placed and Liability.

\n

Your new roleAs a Technician, you will be responsible for supporting a broad range of technical insurance duties across Binding Authorities, Open Market placements, Lineslips and in-house Binding Authority business. You will check and process premium bordereaux, ensuring the data is accurate, and will use Global XB to process premium bordereaux and produce accounting transactions. You will also support premium bordereaux submissions to Xchanging, manage bureaux queries, update Binding Authority statistics on a monthly basis and assist with Risk Level Data bordereaux and aggregate reports where required.

You will also be involved in processing and registering binders on Lineage for Canadian business, as well as liaising with internal binder compliance specialists and supporting queries from underwriters, clients, colleagues and the accounts department. The role will require you to work closely with different internal teams to resolve queries accurately and efficiently. Within the Open Market side of the role, you will produce slips and endorsements, present slips to underwriters via Placing Platform Limited and liaise with underwriters to ensure slips are signed. Once business is bound, you will manage the documentation to clients, produce invoices, liaise with clients regarding payments and requests, maintain contract certainty reports, save correspondence to internal systems and submit Open Market slips and endorsements to Xchanging for signing. You will also support Lineslip work by working closely with the broking team, producing Open Market slips declared from a Lineslip, producing accounting transactions and debit or credit notes, presenting slips to underwriters through Placing Platform Limited and managing the documentation process once business is bound. In addition, you will assist with monthly premium and Risk Level Data bordereaux production, the submission of Open Market slips where required, and the production and maintenance of files using a document management system.

The role will also include supporting certificates of insurance bound under in-house Binding Authorities. This will involve producing certificates using existing templates, processing invoices, liaising with clients regarding payment of funds, working with accounts on payments to underwriters, producing Risk Level Data, monitoring aggregates, updating Binding Authority statistics and assisting with Xchanging bureaux queries.What you'll need to succeed

In order to succeed, you will need strong technical processing skills and a good understanding of insurance documentation, bordereaux, slips, endorsements, Binding Authorities and Open Market business. Experience using broker systems would be beneficial, and knowledge of Placing Platform Limited and DCOM would also be advantageous. You will need to be confident working with data, documentation and insurance systems, with strong attention to detail and the ability to liaise effectively with underwriters, clients, colleagues and accounts teams. You should also be proficient in IT, with good Excel and Word skills to support the technical and administrative requirements of the role.
