Commercial Property Solicitor (7+ PQE)

North London | £80,000 - £90,000 | Predominantly Office Based

An established property business with a substantial commercial property portfolio across London and the South East is seeking an experienced Commercial Property Solicitor to join its in-house legal team.

This is a rare opportunity for a senior commercial property lawyer to move into a stable, non-fee-earning environment where you will support the business's property management operations and work closely with experienced legal colleagues.

The Role

Joining a close-knit legal team comprising three solicitors, you will provide pragmatic, commercially focused advice to the commercial property management function and take ownership of a broad range of landlord-side property matters.

Responsibilities

\n
• Advising on commercial landlord and tenant matters across a substantial property portfolio
\n
• Drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial leases
\n
• Supporting on lease renewals under the Landlord and Tenant Act 1954 (non-contentious matters)
\n
• Handling title investigations and land registry queries
\n
• Providing legal support to the commercial property management team
\n
• Managing matters autonomously with minimal supervision
\n
• Working closely with internal stakeholders to deliver practical legal solutions
\n

About You

You will be:

\n
• A qualified Solicitor in England & Wales with 7+ years' PQE
\n
• Trained at a respected City, national or regional commercial property practice or in-house role
\n
• Experienced in commercial landlord and tenant work involving:\n

  • Retail units
  \n
  • Offices
  \n
  • Industrial estates and warehouse premises
  \n
\n
• Comfortable advising on:\n
  \n
  • Commercial leases
  \n
  • Lease renewals under the 1954 Act
  \n
  • Land and title issues
  \n
\n
• Able to work independently and act as a trusted adviser to the business
\n

Please note this role does not involve property acquisitions or disposals.

Working Arrangements

• Full-time position

• Office-based, with up to one day per week working from home
\n
• North London / Hertfordshire border location
\n
• Easily accessible by road and well suited to candidates based across North London, Hertfordshire and surrounding Home Counties.

Salary & Benefits

• £80,000 - £90,000 depending on experience
\n

Working Hours

• Monday to Friday, 9:00am - 6:00pm
\n
• Additional company closure days apply throughout the year and Occasional adjusted office hours during designated company closure periods.
