Due to continued investment and expansion, they are seeking a skilled Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join their engineering team.This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who enjoys working in a fast-paced production environment, solving technical challenges, and playing a vital role in keeping manufacturing operations running efficiently.The RoleAs a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining and improving a variety of packaging production machinery and equipment. You'll work as part of a proactive engineering team, ensuring maximum machine availability while supporting continuous improvement projects across the site.Key Responsibilities\n

- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on packaging and production machinery. \n
- Respond quickly and effectively to equipment breakdowns to minimise downtime. \n
- Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults. \n
- Maintain hydraulic, pneumatic, conveyor and automated production systems. \n
- Support machinery installations, upgrades and continuous improvement projects. \n
- Work closely with production teams to maximise efficiency and output. \n
- Complete maintenance records and documentation accurately. \n
- Ensure all maintenance activities are carried out safely and in line with company procedures. \n
- Contribute to improving reliability, performance and overall plant efficiency. \n
- \n
- Previous experience as a Maintenance Engineer within a manufacturing, packaging, FMCG, plastics, food, recycling or production environment. \n
- Strong fault-finding skills across both mechanical and electrical systems. \n
- Experience working with hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors and automated machinery. \n
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics. \n
- A proactive and hands-on approach to maintenance and problem-solving. \n
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently or within a team. \n
- Engineering qualifications (Apprenticeship, NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, HNC/HND or equivalent) are desirable. \n
