Job Title: Private Client Tax Manager

Location: City of London - 2 days in office, 3 days from home

Salary: £65,000 - £75,000 (DOE) + benefits package!

The Role:

\n

I am seeking an enthusiastic Private Client Tax Manager to join a International Private Client tax team in London.

\n

The role is focused on the provision of high-quality personal tax compliance and tax advice over the course of the year for our varied and complex client base. You will work with a varied portfolio of clients whose affairs are often complex and international in scope, including:

  • High and ultra-high net worth individuals
  • \n
  • Long term residents and internationally mobile clients
  • \n
  • Multi-jurisdictional structures, including UK and offshore trusts
  • \n
  • Partnerships
  • \n

The Responsibilities:

\n
    \n
  • You will be responsible for the delivery of all aspects of your client portfolio throughout the tax compliance cycle.
  • \n
  • You will review tax returns prepared by junior members of the team and prepare complex tax returns for a varied client base, which will include but is not limited to high-net-worth individuals, wealthy families, and offshore structures.
  • \n
  • You will prepare or review tax advice and tax planning for clients, including conducting technical research and identifying planning opportunities, and work with senior managers, directors and partners to deliver this
  • \n
  • You will actively support junior team members and provide training and feedback to aid their development as well as supervising and controlling the completion of work.
  • \n
  • You will have the opportunity to build relationships directly with clients, family office representatives and other key stakeholders and you will attend client meetings.
  • \n
  • You will prepare or review written correspondence for clients and deal with HM Revenue & Customs in connection with the clients' affair including enquires and disclosures.

  • ATT and/or CTA qualified
  • \n
  • A positive and enthusiastic attitude
  • \n
  • A high level of motivation, ability and commitment
  • \n
  • Experience of management as they will be managing their own portfolio whilst also being responsible for overseeing and reviewing the work of more junior tax staff
  • \n
  • Experienced in the delivery and management of personal tax compliance services
  • \n
  • Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills are essential to ensure all deadlines are met
  • \n
  • Experience in the provision of tax advice covering income tax, capital gains tax and inheritance tax. The exact mix of advisory will be tailored to the strengths of the individual, but a broad base across all tax areas is sought after
  • \n
  • Experience in working with clients with international considerations, examples of which may include the FIG regime, former remittance basis users, statutory residence test, tax treaty issues, cross-border business and investments, and/or offshore trusts
  • \n
  • From a professional services background
  • \n
  • Confident communicator to colleagues, partners and clients
  • \n
  • Comfortable working on their own initiative as well as being a good team player
  • \n
  • High attention to detail and the ability to work in a timely manner
  • \n
  • Excellent IT skill
