Job Description
This is an opportunity for a technically strong Financial Controller with experience in not for profit and charities sector to step into a highly visible role supporting a global organisation operating across approximately 20 international offices. You'll work closely with the outgoing Financial Controller, gaining a comprehensive handover before becoming a key source of stability and leadership within the finance function.

\nOur Cambridge based client is looking for an Interim Charity Financial Controller.
\nDescription
\nInterim Charity Financial Controller duties:
\n\n- \n
- Managing the month-end close process and overseeing global balance sheet reconciliations. \n
- Reviewing and approving payment runs and payroll submissions. \n
- Ensuring financial reporting is accurate, timely and compliant. \n
- Managing statutory accounting requirements and supporting the annual audit process. \n
- Reviewing submissions from international offices and ensuring robust financial controls are maintained. \n
- Acting as a senior point of escalation for finance queries across the business. \n
- Leading and supporting a small transactional finance team. \n
- Supporting the onboarding and eventual handover to a permanent Financial Controller if applicable \n
Profile
\nInterim Charity Financial Controller candidate:
\n\n- \n
- ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualification (or equivalent). \n
- Previous experience as a Financial Controller or Senior Finance Manager. \n
- Strong technical accounting knowledge including UK GAAP and FRS102. \n
- Experience managing statutory accounts and year-end audits. \n
- Strong balance sheet and financial controls experience. \n
- Experience managing and developing finance teams. \n
- Excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to build relationships quickly. \n
- A proactive and self-sufficient approach with the confidence to operate autonomously. \n

- Charity, not-for-profit or NGO experience. \n
- Charity SORP knowledge. \n
- Experience of restricted and unrestricted funding. \n
- Multi-currency or international group experience. \n
- Experience working with overseas entities or offices. \n
