Senior Credit Controller (3-Month Temporary Contract) | Southport | £30,000

We're working with a well-established organisation based in Southport that is looking to recruit an experienced Credit Controller to join the finance team on a 3-month temporary contract. This role has been created to provide additional support during a particularly busy period, making it an excellent opportunity for someone who can hit the ground running.

Working within a friendly and supportive finance function, you'll play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of the sales ledger and credit control processes.

The Role

As Credit Controller, your responsibilities will include:

• Managing the day-to-day credit control function.
\n
• Chasing outstanding debt via telephone and email in a professional manner.
\n
• Maintaining and reconciling the sales ledger.
\n
• Allocating cash receipts accurately and resolving allocation queries.
\n
• Investigating and resolving account discrepancies and customer queries.
\n
• Building positive relationships with customers to ensure prompt payment.
\n
• Supporting the finance team with general sales ledger administration.
\n
• Assisting with reporting and any ad hoc finance duties as required.
\n

About You

We're looking for someone who has:

• Previous experience in a credit control and sales ledger role.
\n
• Strong knowledge of sales ledgers, cash allocation and account reconciliations.
\n
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate and resolve queries efficiently.
\n
• Strong communication skills and confidence liaising with customers.
\n
• Good attention to detail and the ability to manage a busy workload.
\n
• Experience using finance systems and Microsoft Excel.
\n

• £30,000 salary (pro rata).
\n
• 3-month temporary contract.

• Office-based role – 5 days per week in Southport.
