Job Description

Market 36 Recruitment are currently recruiting for a CNC Operator (Aluminium Systems) on behalf of our client based in Braintree on a Permanent basis.

Roles & Responsibilities\n
    \n
  • Operate CNC machinery to cut, drill and machine aluminium profiles.
  • \n
  • Upload and run CNC programmes using LogiKal or similar software.
  • \n
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, cutting lists and production schedules.
  • \n
  • Set up CNC machines, tooling and materials for production runs.
  • \n
  • Ensure all work is completed accurately and to specification.
  • \n
  • Carry out basic machine maintenance and troubleshoot minor faults.
  • \n
  • Inspect finished components to ensure quality standards are met.
  • \n
  • Maintain a clean, tidy and organised workshop environment.
  • \n
  • Follow all Health & Safety procedures and safe working practices.
  • \n
  • Work collaboratively with the fabrication team to meet production deadlines.
  • \n
Additional Responsibilities\n
    \n
  • Previous experience machining aluminium profiles preferred.
  • \n
  • Experience with aluminium glazing systems such as Kawneer, Novastruct, Schueco or Metal Technology is advantageous.
  • \n
  • Familiarity with LogiKal or similar CNC programming software is beneficial.
  • \n
  • Assist in other areas of the workshop when required.
  • \n
Experience, Skills & Qualifications\n
    \n
  • Previous experience operating CNC machinery within a manufacturing environment.
  • \n
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering or technical drawings.
  • \n
  • Competence in setting up CNC machines and tooling.
  • \n
  • Good understanding of machining processes and quality standards.
  • \n
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate work.
  • \n
  • Good problem-solving skills and ability to carry out basic machine fault finding.
  • \n
  • Reliable, punctual and able to work effectively as part of a team.
  • \n
  • Good awareness of Health & Safety requirements within a manufacturing environment.

Working Pattern & Benefits\n

Hours: Monday – Friday, 7:30am – 4:30pm (40 hours per week)

Alternative working patterns may also be considered, including:

    \n
  • 5:00am – 1:30pm
  • \n
  • 9:00am – 6:00pm
  • \n
\n

Salary: £16.00 per hour (dependent on experience)
