Finance Assistant
\nThis international US law firm is looking to welcome a Finance Assistant to its London office. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a collaborative finance team, taking on a varied, all-round role with exposure to a broad range of day-to-day transactional and operational finance duties.

Finance Assistant – What You’ll Be Doing:
\n- \n
- Support the day-to-day finance function, including data entry, invoice processing, and maintaining accurate financial records \n
- Provide end-to-end billing support, including preparing client bills, managing time entries and transfers, editing narratives, and ensuring compliance with client billing guidelines \n
- Process accounts payable and receivable, including third-party vendor invoices, reconciliations, monitoring outstanding payments, and maintaining related Excel trackers \n
- Prepare and process employee expenses in line with firm policies \n
- Produce financial reports, analytics, and Excel-based documentation, including WIP and time summary reports, to support the Legal Support Team \n
- Work closely with legal teams to resolve billing queries and discrepancies, providing responsive finance support \n
- Reconcile the IPO account, process IPO invoices, and maintain associated records \n
- Support Client Account transactions in accordance with SRA Accounts Rules, firm policies, and internal financial controls \n
- Provide general administrative support to the finance team, including filing, archiving, and document management \n
Finance Assistant – What We’re Looking For:
\n- \n
- Good knowledge of SRA guidelines \n
- Strong knowledge of legal accounting software \n
- Advanced Microsoft Office Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint knowledge \n
- Excellent IT and IT troubleshooting skills, also able to comfortably pick up new systems with a logical approach \n
- Time management and organisation skills, and the ability to simultaneously manage multiple deadlines \n
