Senior Air Import Coordinator

A major UK & International Freight Forwarding organisation are experiencing major growth and are looking to add a Senior Air Import Coordinator to their team.This vacancy is for a senior air import clerk so they need to be able to work using their own initiative as they will be in the office as the only Import clerk on shift on some occasions over the weekend.\n
\nROLE: Senior Air Import OperatorBASIC SALARY: £36k to £40kLOCATION: HeathrowHOURS:4 on 4 off day shift & itll be 12-hour shifts from 0700-1900 hrs ( with a 1 hour lunchbreak ).\n
\nROLE: Managing the air Import process for clients from start to finish including customs clearance.\n

Outstanding Customer Service

Managing High Volume of air import shipments with minimum issue

\n

Assist customer with their Supply Chain Model

\n

Managing Information Flow between Systems

\n

Manage Origin Offices

\n

Pre-Alerts

\n

Origin management

\n

Customs Entries

\n

Transport Deliveries

\n

Internal / external communication

\n

Liaising with Customers through Email & telephone.

\n

Job costing / Invoicing

\n

System updates

\n

Skills required:

\n

Must have at least 4 years Air Import and customs clearance experience - Essential

\n

If they have Cargowise and/or Sequoia experience, this would be an advantage. Must have experience of dealing with Import customs clearances

\n

Proactively action duties on a daily basis, supporting the team during times of absence or holidays.

Able to handle multiple customers & clearances each day

\n

Knowledge of Cargowise & Sequoia an advantage

Able to work using their own initiative
