\nAbout the Role
\nOur client, a busy and well-established healthcare organisation, is seeking an experienced and professional Medical Administrator to join their team on a temporary basis for an initial period of 2 months. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong administrative and customer service skills to work within a fast-paced medical environment, with the possibility of securing a permanent position.
\nThe successful candidate will provide a comprehensive administrative and reception support service, ensuring patients, clinicians and healthcare professionals receive an efficient, professional and confidential service at all times.
\nKey Responsibilities

- Deliver a high-quality reception and administrative service to patients and healthcare professionals. \n
- Manage incoming correspondence, electronic documents and clinical information. \n
- Process and maintain patient records, ensuring accuracy and data integrity. \n
- Support patient registration processes and update demographic information. \n
- Assist with repeat prescription administration in line with practice procedures. \n
- Manage clinical email inboxes and workflow systems. \n
- Input and code relevant clinical information onto patient management systems. \n
- Handle telephone enquiries professionally and efficiently. \n
- Assist with chronic disease management recall programmes. \n
- Process requests for medical records and reports in accordance with data protection and confidentiality requirements. \n
- Provide general administrative support, including scanning, filing and document management. \n
- Work collaboratively with clinical and administrative colleagues to ensure smooth day-to-day operations. \n
About You
\nThe ideal candidate will have:

- Previous experience in a medical, healthcare or GP practice administration role. \n
- Strong administrative and organisational skills. \n
- Excellent attention to detail and data entry accuracy. \n
- Experience using patient management or clinical systems would be advantageous. \n
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills. \n
- The ability to manage competing priorities in a busy environment. \n
- A professional, confidential and patient-focused approach. \n
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications. \n
