\nAbout the Role
\nMy client, a leading law firm, is seeking a driven and detail-oriented Litigation Paralegal to join their growing litigation team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to gain hands-on experience across a wide range of contentious matters while working closely with experienced solicitors and partners. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting fee earners and managing aspects of litigation files, whilst developing their technical skills and progressing their legal career within a supportive and fast-paced environment.
\nKey Responsibilities
\n- \n
- Assisting with the management of litigation matters from instruction to conclusion \n
- Drafting correspondence and legal documents \n
- Assisting with conducting County Court proceedings \n
- Preparing court bundles and assisting with trial preparation \n
- Liaising with clients, Counsel, and third parties \n
- Ensuring compliance with court deadlines and procedural requirements \n
- Providing general support to fee earners on a range of litigation matters \n
Essential Skills
\n- \n
- Educated to degree level \n
- Excellent written and oral communication skills \n
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team \n
- Confidence and self-motivation \n
- Ability to work to strict deadlines in a pressurised environment \n
- Strong attention to detail \n
- IT literate \n
- Demonstrable willingness to learn and progress \n
Essential Experience
\n- \n
- Knowledge of the Civil Procedure Rules \n
- Experience dealing with County Court claims \n
- Experience liaising with Counsel \n
- Basic knowledge of Solicitors’ Accounts Rules \n
Preferred Experience (Not Essential)
\n- \n
- Mortgagee possession claims \n
- Landlord and tenant work \n
- Experience in High Court and/or tribunal proceedings \n
- Experience acting for finance company or lender clients \n
Desirable Qualifications
\n- \n
- LPC /SQE 1 would be an advantage, but not essential \n
About the candidate
\nYou will need to be experienced, proactive, organised, and eager to develop your legal career. You will have a strong work ethic and a genuine interest in litigation, with the ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining a high standard of accuracy and client service. Previous experience working as a Litigation Paralegal or similar is also required.
