MB987: Senior Production TechnicianLocation: Berinsfield, OxfordshireSalary: £36,000paWorking Hours: Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm (but can start and finish earlier or later depending on project)Benefits: Enhanced pension, flexible hours, overtimeOverview:First Military Recruitment are currently seeking a Senior Production Technician on behalf of one of our fantastic clients based in Berinsfield, Oxfordshire.Our client is looking for a practical and motivated individual to join their production team, assisting in the manufacture, preparation, testing and inspection of high-quality products. The successful candidate will have previous experience working within a manufacturing or engineering environment, possess a strong work ethic and be committed to maintaining the highest quality standards.Our client encourages applications from ex-military personnel however all candidates will be given due consideration.Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist in the assembly and finishing of moulded parts while maintaining high standards of workmanship and quality.
\n
• Prepare mouldings in line with the production schedule.
\n
• Assist in the preparation and bonding of products.
\n
• Carry out cutting, grinding and flow coating of bonded products.
\n
• Support other areas of the manufacturing process as directed by the Team Leader or Line Supervisor.
\n
• Produce sub-assemblies as required.
\n
• Assist with the training and development of new Production Operatives where required.
\n
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised workstation at all times.
\n
• Operate in accordance with company Health & Safety procedures and all relevant company policies.
\n
• Undertake any additional duties as requested by senior management.
\n

Skills and Qualifications:

\n
• Good standard of general education.
\n
• Previous experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
\n
• Either a minimum of two years' practical experience in a similar role or an Engineering BTEC qualification with at least 1–2 years' relevant experience.
\n
• Practical mindset with the ability to use conventional workshop hand and power tools.
\n
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
\n
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
\n
• Good problem-solving skills.
\n
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to understand and follow instructions.
\n
• Well organised with the ability to prioritise workload effectively.
\n
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
\n
