Job Opportunity: Neurologist

Our organization, a physician-led multispecialty group with over 600 providers, is in search of a Board Certified or Board Eligible Neurologist who is dedicated to a collaborative approach in patient care. We invite you to join our expanding neurology practice located in Boise, Idaho.

About the Role

As a key provider of advanced neurological services in the region, our neurologists care for patients facing complex conditions, neurodegenerative disorders, seizures, and various neurological diseases. The Neuroscience Institute fosters teamwork among specialists, including:

• General Neurosurgeons
• Vascular Neurosurgeons
• Neuroradiologists
• Vascular Neurologists
• Neuropathologists
• Neuro-Otolaryngologists
• Physiatrists
• Neuro-Ophthalmologists
• Radiation Oncologists

Neurologists have access to a range of diagnostic and patient care services, including:

• EMG capabilities in both clinic and hospital settings
• EEG with web-based interpretation
• TCD
• Botox injections
• Specialty infusions for neurodegenerative diseases

Clinical Environment

Our well-established neurology outpatient clinic and inpatient neuroscience program is supported by Fellowship-trained Neuro Critical Care specialists. We also offer third-party tele-stroke services staffed by vascular neurologists, transitioning to inpatient neuro critical care in July 2024. Our services include:

• Emergency and elective interventions such as biplane angiography
• MRI/MRA, CT/CTA, and CT perfusion
• 4-vessel angiography
• Interventional procedures for strokes and aneurysms

Work Schedule

This full-time position follows a traditional workweek from Monday to Friday, including one administrative day, with a minimum of 32 hours dedicated to ambulatory clinic patient contact. There are no hospital consults or weekend rounding required. Call duties are shared equally among neurologists, covering established outpatients only; there is no hospital, ICU, stroke, or EEG call, as acute stroke cases are managed by the inpatient neurology team.

Qualifications

To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree
• Authorization to work in the U.S. or eligibility for H-1B sponsorship
• Completion of an ACGME or AOA accredited residency training program in Neurology
• Board certification in Neurology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology or the American Osteopathic Board of Neurology & Psychiatry, or the ability to obtain such certification within three years of employment
• Possession of an Idaho medical license and privileges at SARMC-Boise, SAMC-Nampa, and other affiliated hospitals as necessary
• Active Oregon Telehealth license and valid controlled substance registration with the Board of Pharmacy and DEA
