Job Opportunity: Maternal Fetal Medicine Physician

Our organization is on the lookout for a dedicated and empathetic full-time (1.0 FTE) Maternal Fetal Medicine (MFM) Physician to become a part of our Regional Maternal Fetal Medicine team, based in Grand Rapids and Muskegon. This role presents a fantastic chance to deliver advanced medical care while collaborating with a team of specialists in a nurturing and dynamic setting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide specialized care in Maternal Fetal Medicine, focusing on high-risk pregnancies and fetal complications.
  • Work alongside a multidisciplinary team, including obstetricians, neonatologists, and other specialists, to develop comprehensive care plans and serve as the primary referral source.
  • Primarily serve as a regional physician in Grand Rapids, with occasional travel to Muskegon as required.
  • Engage in the education and training of medical students and residents.
  • Benefit from dedicated support, including a Medical Assistant, sonographer, and additional staff at all locations.
  • Share on-call responsibilities with the MFM Partner/Medical Director, primarily handling phone consultations with hospital visits as necessary.

Qualifications:
  • Open to both experienced professionals and recent graduates.
  • Physicians must hold board certification in their specialty or be board eligible, with the expectation of obtaining board certification within two years of eligibility.
  • A valid State of Michigan medical license is required upon employment.
  • Possession of a DEA license is necessary.
  • Current ACLS and BLS certifications are required.
