Job Description
Our organization is on the lookout for a fellowship-trained, board-certified Cardiothoracic Surgeon to become part of our esteemed and well-established Cardiac Surgery program at our hospital located in Syracuse, NY.
This full-time position is integrated within a vibrant team that comprises five cardiac surgeons alongside a hospital-employed team of cardiologists. The clinic and surgical offices are conveniently located on the hospital grounds, and the role is bolstered by a dedicated group of Surgical PAs who provide round-the-clock support within our modern, state-of-the-art facilities.
We offer a comprehensive range of cardiology services, including Non-Invasive, Electrophysiology, Interventional, and Structural Heart specialists. Our program has consistently received recognition from independent healthcare quality researchers as one of the leading cardiac programs in both New York State and nationwide.
Attracting patients from a wide tri-state area centered around Syracuse, our team achieves outstanding outcomes as evaluated by the Society of Thoracic Surgeons (STS) criteria. The program provides a full array of cardiac surgical services, from minimally invasive techniques to complex surgeries utilizing advanced methodologies. Although we do not currently perform transplants, our surgical results consistently surpass both state and national benchmarks.
QUALIFICATIONS- Board certification in General Surgery and Cardiothoracic Surgery
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
- Robotic Certification and Experience is advantageous
- Eligibility for or possession of a New York State License
- Hospital Employed Contracted Position
- The program currently performs a significant number of heart cases annually at our facility
- Clinic and Surgical Office conveniently situated on the hospital campus
- Call Rotation of 1:5
- Strong in-house support from CT Surgical PAs
- Modern Hospital Facilities equipped with Cardiothoracic Operating Rooms
- Robust Referral Network from both employed and non-employed regional cardiology practices
Compensation ranges from $700,000 to $950,000. This salary reflects the initial total compensation range and does not include productivity bonuses, quality and performance incentives, extra shift bonuses, or other forms of cash compensation applicable to the role. Additionally, providers typically receive a CME allowance along with other benefits provided by their medical group employer. Please note that this salary range is in accordance with state law and may vary based on the factors mentioned.
