We are on the lookout for a dedicated and enthusiastic Contingent Physician Assistant to become part of our regional Neonatal Intensive Care team in Muskegon and Grand Rapids, Michigan. Opportunity Overview

  • Position Type: Contingent (0.0 FTE)

  • Schedule: 25-hour or 8-hour shifts as required

  • Location: Grand Rapids and Muskegon, Michigan

  • Specialty: Neonatal Physician Assistant with fellowship training in neonatology

  • Hospital Information: Grand Rapids: 15-bed NICU Level III, Muskegon: 8-bed Level II Special Care Nursery

  • Call Requirements: No call obligations for APPs

Qualifications

  • PA with fellowship training in neonatology

  • APPs: Must be board certified in their specialty prior to employment

  • Valid Michigan medical license

  • DEA license

  • ACLS/BLS certification (must be kept current)

Responsibilities

A typical day may involve:

  • Delivering direct patient care

  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams

  • Engaging in teaching and mentoring activities

  • Documenting patient information in Epic EMR

  • Participating in quality improvement initiatives

  • Contributing to community health efforts
