We are currently in search of a fellowship-trained, board-certified or board-eligible Breast Surgeon to become a part of our esteemed breast care team. This is a remarkable chance to engage in a multidisciplinary program, enhancing a well-established statewide cancer initiative that provides innovative surgical care to our community.
Opportunity Highlights- Scope of Practice: Comprehensive breast surgical services, collaborating in clinic operations.
- Annual Volume: Approximately 450 cases.
- Call Schedule: Low volume, equitable call responsibilities.
- Facilities: Onsite ultrasound, punch biopsies, mammography, MRI-guided biopsies, pharmacy, and lab services.
- Operating Room: Block scheduling available.
- Clinic Hours: 1.5 days per week.
- Teaching Role: Faculty position in General Surgery Residency.
- Compensation: Competitive salary with a two-year income guarantee.
- Recruitment Incentive: $150,000 signing bonus.
- Relocation Assistance: Up to $15,000 moving allowance.

Katzmann Breast Care Center: This is the region's first dedicated breast health center, offering advanced surgical techniques such as oncoplastic, nipple-sparing, and Hidden Scar procedures. Our team includes navigators, advanced practitioners, and certified lymphedema therapists, along with state-of-the-art imaging and personalized risk assessments. We also provide access to clinical trials.
Richard Deming Cancer Center: Accredited by the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer, NAPBC, NAPRC, and ACR, we handle over 2,000 analytic cancer cases annually. Our advanced surgical and diagnostic capabilities include colorectal surgery, surgical oncology, thoracic surgery, and neurosurgery, featuring Iowa's first site to offer ION technology for robotic-assisted lung biopsies. We also have the only CyberKnife in Iowa, along with collaborative tumor boards and integrative oncology services.
