Job Opportunity: Full-Time Nurse Practitioner
Our organization, a large multispecialty group practice with over 650 providers, is in search of a dedicated Nurse Practitioner to oversee orthopedic trauma patients in partnership with orthopedic trauma surgeons.
Key Responsibilities- Direct clinical management of orthopedic trauma patients using established protocols and procedures.
- Collaborate closely with the Orthopedic Trauma Medical Director and trauma service team.
- Evaluate new trauma patients in the Emergency Room.
- Provide guidance to hospital staff on patient management issues.
- Manage inpatient orthopedic fracture cases.
- Participate in both operating room and outpatient clinic settings.
- Fulfill a full-time rotation that includes clinic duties, operating room responsibilities, inpatient rounding, and PA call coverage.
- Work alongside a team of seven (7) providers, covering group calls as necessary, including nights and weekends.
- Current, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner medical license in Idaho.
- Valid controlled substance registration with the Idaho Board of Pharmacy and the DEA.
- Demonstrated comprehensive assessment skills and expert clinical abilities.
- Experience in surgical and/or critical care settings is preferred.
- Commitment to a multidisciplinary approach to patient care.
This role involves a dynamic environment, engaging with trauma patients primarily in a hospital setting. The trauma center is an ACS verified Level II facility, handling over 1,250 trauma cases annually, with a significant number classified as severe.
