Emergency Medicine Opportunity

Location: Our organization is a Level III Trauma Center located in a vibrant community.

Annual Patient Visits: Approximately 35,000 visits each year.

Facility Overview: We are a comprehensive hospital featuring a 24/7 Hospitalist program, air medical and ambulance services, as well as advanced imaging capabilities including CT and MRI. Each room is equipped with bedside ultrasound and point-of-use supplies.

Physician Coverage: Our facility provides 42 hours of physician coverage daily.

Specialist Support: As a tertiary center, we have over 300 physicians and specialists available to ensure comprehensive care, including:

  • Trauma Surgery
  • Neurosurgery
  • Cardiology
  • Gastroenterology
  • ENT
  • Pediatric Hospitalists
  • OBGYN
  • Pulmonary/Critical Care
  • Neurology
  • Infectious Disease
  • Orthopedic Surgery
  • Vascular Surgery
  • Anesthesia
  • Radiology

We only transfer patients out when absolutely necessary.

Compensation and Benefits

Employment Type: This is a hospital-employed position, which includes a comprehensive benefits package valued at over $65,000.

Base Salary:

  • Day Shift: $471,265 per year ($251/hour)
  • Night Shift: $490,116 per year ($261.81/hour)

Additional Compensation:

  • Extra shift bonus: $276.92/hour (day); $301.09/hour (night)
  • Recruitment bonus: $100,000
  • Moving allowance: Up to $15,000
  • Full-time hours: 1620 hours per year
  • Annual CME allowance: $6,000
  • Employer-paid liability insurance and tail coverage

Benefits Start: Coverage for health, dental, vision, life, and both short-term and long-term disability begins on the first day of employment.

Retirement Plans: Participate in a 403(b) retirement program with employer contributions and matching, along with an optional 457(b) deferred compensation plan.

Qualifications
  • Board Certified/Board Eligible (must achieve certification within three years of eligibility)
  • Completion of an Emergency Medicine Residency Program or Fellowship
  • H1B and J1 candidates are encouraged to apply
  • Graduation from an accredited medical or osteopathic medical school is required
  • Must hold or be eligible for a physician license in the State of Iowa, including a Controlled Substance Certificate and Federal DEA Certificate
