Job Overview

This position involves utilizing various imaging techniques to assist in diagnosing and treating patients. Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting radiologic procedures on assigned patients in accordance with departmental policies and hospital objectives.
  • Ensuring that all procedures adhere to radiological standards, are performed safely, accurately, and in a timely manner, meeting the American College of Radiology (ACR) imaging standards.
  • Taking responsibility for specific areas and procedures as assigned.
  • Collaborating with other departments to ensure a high standard of patient care.
  • Working independently when necessary.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Associate degree in Radiology or a related field.
  • Certification as a Radiologic Technologist (ARRT).
  • Eligibility for state licensure as a Radiologic Technologist.
  • A minimum of two years of experience in the role.
  • Basic Life Support Certification.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with X-Ray procedures.
Duties and Responsibilities

The following duties are intended to provide a general overview of the role and are not exhaustive:

  • Independently perform radiologic procedures as per policy and standards.
  • Confirm patient identity and the procedure to be conducted.
  • Deliver clear and precise instructions to patients.
  • Ensure correct imaging protocols and parameters for each patient.
  • Prioritize safety for both patients and staff regarding equipment usage.
  • Engage in continuous education and training.
  • Conduct quality control checks on equipment as needed.
  • Coordinate with other staff and departments for patient care.
  • Maintain inventory and request supplies as necessary.
  • Keep work areas clean and compliant with health regulations.
  • May mentor students and assist new technologists.
Physical Requirements
  • Frequent standing, occasional sitting, walking, and lifting of 30-35 lbs.
  • Manual dexterity for operating radiology equipment.
  • Ability to hear and see adequately to perform examinations and monitor equipment.
  • Exposure to bodily fluids and communicable diseases.
Skills and Abilities
  • Understanding of radiologic equipment, examinations, and procedures.
  • Familiarity with radiation safety protocols.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently.

Compensation

The base pay range for this position is $37.18 - $47.41. Individual offers are determined based on a comprehensive evaluation of relevant experience, certifications, education, skills, and internal equity to ensure fair and consistent compensation aligned with our organizational goals.
