We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Occupational Therapist to assist patients dealing with injuries, illnesses, or disabilities in regaining or enhancing their daily living skills, all while discovering the beautiful surroundings of Skowhegan, ME. This position is situated within a skilled nursing facility and emphasizes interdisciplinary care aimed at promoting functional independence.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctoral Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
  • Active Occupational Therapy license in Maine is required to commence the assignment.
  • BLS certification from AHA or ARC may be necessary.
  • Preferred experience in skilled nursing or long-term care environments.
  • Familiarity with SOAP notes and electronic medical records is advantageous.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience in travel therapy is a plus.
  • Experience working with geriatric populations and managing ADL/IADL programs is preferred.
Assignment Details
  • Shift Hours: To be determined.
  • Shift Days: Sunday through Saturday (VMS workdays may require coverage on any day).
  • Meal Break: 30 minutes.
  • Guaranteed Hours: 35 hours per week as specified by the client.
  • Flexibility to float to other nearby facilities may be required.
