Opportunity Details

  • Location: Grand Rapids, MI
  • Specialty: Geriatrics
  • Hospital/Practice Information: Our Geriatrics team provides care in various environments, including home-based, facility-based, and outpatient clinic settings.
  • Teaching Opportunities: Yes - Involvement with Residents, Medical Students, and Fellows
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM
  • Call Requirements: Shared among providers; home call only
  • Visit Length: Sufficient time to address the needs of a complex patient population

Requirements
  • Open to recent graduates with geriatrics fellowship training or experienced candidates in Internal Medicine/Family Medicine.
  • Physicians: Must be board certified in a relevant clinical area or board eligible, with a commitment to achieve board certification within five years of the start date (unless otherwise required by medical staff bylaws).
  • Active Michigan medical license (or the ability to obtain one)
  • DEA license
  • BLS certification (must be maintained)
Duties & Responsibilities

A typical day may involve:

  • Delivering direct patient care
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
  • Engaging in teaching and mentoring activities
  • Documenting patient information in Epic EMR
  • Participating in quality improvement initiatives
  • Supporting community health initiatives
