Job Opportunity: Endocrinologist (MD or DO)

Our organization is actively seeking a full-time Endocrinologist to join our dedicated team of Advanced Practice Providers and Certified Diabetes Care & Education Specialists. This role aims to enhance our diabetes care and education clinic, transforming it into a comprehensive diabetes and endocrine clinic.

The ideal candidate will have the chance to develop a practice focused entirely on outpatient care, utilizing a patient-centered approach. Key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing care to patients in an outpatient setting.
  • Serving as a resource for our multidisciplinary diabetes team.
  • Supporting referrals from the broader medical group.
  • Collaborating with system leadership to promote and expand the endocrinology practice.

The work schedule is full-time, Monday through Friday, from 8 AM to 5 PM, with no after-hours call required. The position is based at our locations in Nampa and Meridian.

Requirements and Qualifications
  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree.
  • Current, unrestricted medical license in Idaho; valid controlled substance registration with the Idaho Board of Pharmacy and DEA.
  • Successful completion of an accredited ACGME/AOA Internal Medicine residency and Endocrinology fellowship.
  • Board certification or the ability to obtain certification within three years of employment.
  • Preferred experience in managing endocrine diseases or chronic care.
  • A robust medical background with a commitment to developing a practice that supports a growing multi-specialty medical group.
  • Willingness to obtain medical licensure in Idaho and Oregon to enhance our Health System's internal program across all communities, including telemedicine services.
  • Ability to secure privileges at SARMC-Boise, SAMC-Nampa, and other affiliated hospitals as necessary.
  • Valid controlled substance registration with the Board of Pharmacy and DEA.
  • A dedication to fostering a welcoming and patient-focused environment for patients, families, and referring providers.
