Job Description
Our organization is actively seeking a full-time Endocrinologist to join our dedicated team of Advanced Practice Providers and Certified Diabetes Care & Education Specialists. This role aims to enhance our diabetes care and education clinic, transforming it into a comprehensive diabetes and endocrine clinic.
The ideal candidate will have the chance to develop a practice focused entirely on outpatient care, utilizing a patient-centered approach. Key responsibilities will include:
- Providing care to patients in an outpatient setting.
- Serving as a resource for our multidisciplinary diabetes team.
- Supporting referrals from the broader medical group.
- Collaborating with system leadership to promote and expand the endocrinology practice.
The work schedule is full-time, Monday through Friday, from 8 AM to 5 PM, with no after-hours call required. The position is based at our locations in Nampa and Meridian.
Requirements and Qualifications- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree.
- Current, unrestricted medical license in Idaho; valid controlled substance registration with the Idaho Board of Pharmacy and DEA.
- Successful completion of an accredited ACGME/AOA Internal Medicine residency and Endocrinology fellowship.
- Board certification or the ability to obtain certification within three years of employment.
- Preferred experience in managing endocrine diseases or chronic care.
- A robust medical background with a commitment to developing a practice that supports a growing multi-specialty medical group.
- Willingness to obtain medical licensure in Idaho and Oregon to enhance our Health System's internal program across all communities, including telemedicine services.
- Ability to secure privileges at SARMC-Boise, SAMC-Nampa, and other affiliated hospitals as necessary.
- Valid controlled substance registration with the Board of Pharmacy and DEA.
- A dedication to fostering a welcoming and patient-focused environment for patients, families, and referring providers.
