Emergency Medicine Opportunity

Location: Our organization is a Level III Trauma Center, providing comprehensive emergency services with approximately 35,000 patient visits annually.

Facility Highlights:

• Full-service hospital featuring a 24/7 Hospitalist program, air medical transport, and ambulance services.
• Advanced imaging capabilities including CT and MRI within the department, bedside ultrasound, and point-of-use supplies available in every room.
• Daily physician coverage of 42 hours.
• Tertiary center supported by over 300 physicians and specialists, ensuring in-house care for various specialties such as Trauma Surgery, Neurosurgery, Cardiology, and more.
• Only transfers out are required.
• Practice at a single location.
• Teaching opportunities available for residents, medical students, and PA/ARNP students.

Compensation and Benefits

Position Type: Hospital-employed role with a comprehensive benefits package valued at over $65,000.

• Base Salary:
• $471,265 annually ($251/hour) for Day Shift.
• $490,116 annually ($261.81/hour) for Night Shift.
• Extra shift bonus pay: $276.92/hour (day); $301.09/hour (night).
• Recruitment bonus of $100,000.
• Relocation assistance up to $15,000.
• Full-time schedule of 1620 hours per year.
• Annual CME allowance of $6,000.
• Employer-covered liability insurance and tail coverage.

Qualifications

• Board Certified/Board Eligible; must achieve board certification within three years of eligibility.
• Completion of an Emergency Medicine Residency Program or Fellowship is required.
• H1B and J1 visa candidates are encouraged to apply.
• Graduation from an accredited medical or osteopathic medical school is mandatory.
• Must possess or be eligible for a physician license in the State of Iowa, along with an Iowa Controlled Substance Certificate and Federal DEA Certificate.
