Physician Assistant - Orthopedic Trauma

Job Opportunity: Full-Time Physician Assistant

Our organization, a large multispecialty group practice with over 650 providers, is currently in search of a dedicated Physician Assistant to oversee orthopedic trauma patients in partnership with orthopedic trauma surgeons.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct clinical management of patients utilizing established protocols and procedures.
• Collaborate closely with the Orthopedic Trauma Medical Director and trauma service team.
• Evaluate new trauma patients in the Emergency Room.
• Guide hospital staff on patient management matters.
• Manage inpatient orthopedic fracture cases.
• Participate in both operating room and outpatient clinic settings.
• Fulfill a full-time rotation that includes clinic duties, operating room responsibilities, inpatient rounding, and PA call coverage.
• Work as part of a PA team consisting of seven providers, with additional call coverage as needed, including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid and unrestricted Physician Assistant medical license in Idaho.
• Hold a valid controlled substance registration with the Idaho Board of Pharmacy and the DEA.
• Demonstrate strong assessment skills, advanced clinical expertise, and effective problem-solving abilities.
• Commit to a multidisciplinary approach to patient care.
• Previous surgical and/or critical care experience in a hospital environment is preferred.
