We offer personalized healthcare tailored for women at every stage of life. Our patient support center operates seven days a week with extended hours, simplifying the scheduling process and providing a clinical resource where a nurse is available to address any concerns.

Each visit includes bedside ultrasounds, allowing women to remain connected throughout their pregnancy, along with complimentary 4D ultrasounds and gender reveal testing.
Position OverviewWe are in search of a qualified OB/GYN Physician for our Mt. Vernon location. The ideal candidate will be adept at delivering a comprehensive range of obstetric and gynecological services, including routine well-woman care, labor and delivery, and hospital-based surgeries for a diverse patient demographic. Care is provided at SSM Health Good Samaritan Hospital, a 134-bed facility equipped with Robotic Surgery, NICU telemedicine linked to SSM Health Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital in St. Louis, and maternal-fetal medicine services. Our Mt. Vernon site features 12 exam rooms, 2 ultrasound rooms, 2 procedure rooms, and 1 NST room.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee and treat patients throughout pregnancy and childbirth, including prenatal counseling and postnatal care, often in collaboration with midwives.
- Conduct follow-up appointments to monitor patient conditions.
- Advise patients on safe sex practices and preventive healthcare measures.
- Order and interpret necessary tests, screenings, biopsies, and scans to accurately diagnose conditions.
- Guide and supervise medical staff, including nurses and physician assistants, on proper procedures and protocols.
- Maintain a strong record of delivering high-quality women's health care, demonstrating skill in diagnosing and treating gynecological and obstetrical conditions with compassion and professionalism.
- Participate in on-call coverage on a 1 in 4 schedule for obstetrical and gynecological emergencies.
- Ensure efficient patient flow in a busy outpatient clinic, accommodating both scheduled and same-day appointments.
- Collaborate effectively with other healthcare providers and team members.
- Provide culturally competent care to a diverse patient population, considering socioeconomic, ethnic, and linguistic factors.
- Engage in ongoing education regarding current medical practices and innovations through reading and attending conferences.
- Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) degree.
- Valid medical license and board certification in the state.
- Preferred 2+ years of experience in a hospital or private practice setting.
- Proficient in patient charting and familiar with relevant electronic health record systems.
- Exemplary bedside manner, demonstrating compassion and approachability.
- Strong judgment and decision-making skills.
- Competitive salary range: $300,000 - $400,000 per year, based on experience.
