Our organization is currently in search of a fellowship-trained, board-certified or board-eligible Orthopedic Surgeon with a specialization in Sports Medicine, particularly focusing on Shoulder Arthroscopy. This is a remarkable chance to be one of the initial surgeons in our newly formed hospital-employed practice and play a pivotal role in developing a top-tier orthopedic service line.

Position Overview
  • Full-time orthopedic surgeon with a focus on Sports Medicine, Shoulder Arthroplasty, and Arthroscopy.
  • Surgeries will be conducted at:
    • St. Peters Hospital - Albany, NY
    • Samaritan Hospital - Troy, NY
  • Strong referral network supported by an extensive primary care system.
  • Collaboration with experienced Orthopedic Surgery inpatient and outpatient Advanced Practice Providers (APPs).
  • A supportive, physician-friendly atmosphere dedicated to delivering high-quality care.
  • Opportunity to contribute to the growth and development of a new orthopedic service line.

Qualifications
  • Fellowship training in Orthopedic Sports Medicine.
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Orthopedic Surgery.
  • 5-10 years of post-training experience required.
  • Demonstrated clinical and surgical expertise in shoulder arthroscopy.
  • Dedication to patient-centered, team-based care.
Recruitment Package

Our organization offers a comprehensive salary and compensation package, which includes:

  • A 3-Year Guarantee ranging from $725,000 to $800,000 for experienced surgeons.
  • The stated salary represents the initial total compensation range and does not encompass productivity bonuses, quality and performance incentives, extra shift bonuses, or other cash compensation relevant to the role. Additionally, providers typically receive a Continuing Medical Education (CME) allowance and other benefits provided by the medical group employer. Please note that this salary range is compliant with state law and may vary based on the factors mentioned.
  • A starting bonus of $25,000.
  • Relocation assistance up to $25,000.
