Exciting Opportunity for an Orthopedic Surgeon Specializing in Hand Surgery
We are thrilled to announce the initiation of a new Orthopedic Surgery Program within our organization, located in Syracuse, New York. We are on the lookout for a fellowship-trained, board-certified or board-eligible Orthopedic Surgeon with a focus on Hand Surgery to join our expanding team. This is a unique chance to become a foundational member of a newly formed, hospital-employed orthopedic group, allowing you to influence the program from the ground up!
Position Highlights:- Hospital-Employed Role: Join a new program with opportunities for leadership involvement and professional growth.
- Single Campus Operations: Work from one hospital location and an affiliated Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC).
- Surgical Support: Benefit from dedicated Physician Assistant support to enhance efficiency and patient care.
- Strong Referral Network: Access a robust internal referral system from primary care, emergency medicine, and various surgical specialties.
- Manageable Call Schedule: Enjoy a reasonable call rotation with options for dedicated hand call or shared orthopedic call.
- High Case Volume: Engage in a significant number of elective and acute hand procedures, including fractures, tendon injuries, nerve repairs, and microvascular surgeries.
- State-of-the-Art Facilities: Utilize protected block time in advanced operating rooms designed for complex hand and upper extremity surgeries.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Orthopedic Surgery
- Completion of a fellowship in Hand Surgery
- Eligibility for a New York State medical license

- Compensation: Base salary ranging from $630,000 to $760,000. This figure represents the starting range of total compensation and does not include potential productivity bonuses, quality and performance incentives, extra shift payments, or other cash compensation relevant to the role. Additionally, providers typically receive a Continuing Medical Education (CME) allowance and other benefits from their medical group employer. Please note that this salary range is compliant with state regulations and may vary based on the aforementioned factors.
- Starting Bonus: $50,000
- Relocation Assistance: Up to $25,000 available
