Job Description
Our organization is on the lookout for an Assistant OBGYN Residency Program Director to join our ACGME accredited joint OBGYN residency program in collaboration with a prominent university in Ohio. This residency program accommodates a total of 44 residents and is supported by a dedicated team of OBGYN faculty and full-time Academic OB Hospitalists who ensure 24/7 coverage.
Key Responsibilities- Organize, coordinate, and oversee various components of the integrated OBGYN Residency Program in alignment with ACGME standards.
- Stay updated on clinical advancements and practices within the field of OBGYN.
- Engage actively in professional activities that enhance resident training, both in clinical and educational settings.
- Provide leadership and guidance to OBGYN residents during didactic and clinical educational sessions.
- Extensive knowledge and experience in graduate medical education within an ACGME accredited teaching hospital and OBGYN program.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with resident physicians, teaching faculty, hospital administration, and staff.
- A genuine passion for leadership development and mentoring residents.
- Possession of a full and unrestricted medical license from the Ohio State Medical Board, along with current OBGYN Board Certification.
Our OBGYN services are offered at multiple locations, including Mount Carmel East, Mount Carmel St. Ann's, and Mount Carmel Grove City. We are committed to serving the underserved communities in Columbus, managing high-risk pregnancies, and operating Level III NICUs. Our campuses are staffed with Maternal-Fetal Medicine specialists.
Graduate Medical Education at Our OrganizationOur Graduate Medical Education program provides residents with diverse training experiences across three hospitals, each catering to different patient demographics, as well as a cutting-edge simulation center. Mount Carmel Grove City serves as our primary training site, allowing residents to rotate through various environments for a comprehensive clinical experience. We currently offer five ACGME fully accredited residency programs: Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, OBGYN, Orthopedics, and General Surgery.
