Job Description
Become a vital part of a physician-led multispecialty organization comprising over 650 providers, dedicated to a multidisciplinary approach in patient care. This role will involve close collaboration within the Minimally Invasive/Robotics surgical team and the colorectal division.
As an essential member of the surgical oncology department, you will work alongside other cancer surgeons, including those specialized in surgical oncology, breast, gynecologic, and advanced foregut procedures. The focus will be on minimally invasive techniques, robotics, and advanced therapeutic endoscopy, utilizing a range of cutting-edge surgical tools and methods, such as robotic systems and advanced laparoscopic procedures. While expertise in pelvic floor disorders, manometry, and the management of complex inflammatory bowel disease is preferred, it is not a strict requirement for the right candidate.
Our surgical services department is integrated into the accredited oncology program, fostering strong relationships with medical and radiation oncology. Furthermore, this multidisciplinary team is actively pursuing accreditation with the National Accreditation Program for Rectal Cancer (NAPRC), with an expected achievement date in Fall 2026.

Position Details- Schedule: Full-time traditional workweek, Monday to Friday, with a minimum of 32 hours dedicated to patient contact, including clinic visits, procedures, and consultations.
- Call Schedule: 1:7 shared practice call within the MIS/robotics surgical group, with no unattached ER call and no acute care general surgery duties.
- A network of over 70 primary care clinics.
- Access to a Level II Trauma Center, Emergency Department, and advanced surgical facilities including da Vinci XI & SI systems.
- Comprehensive coverage by surgical intensivists and neuro-critical care specialists in our ICU, CVICU, and NICU.
- Collaboration with Gynecologic Oncology and a network of independent community partners.
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree.
- Completion of an accredited ACGME/AOA general surgery residency program.
- Board certification from the American Board of Surgery (ABS) or the American Osteopathic Board of Surgery (AOBS), or the ability to obtain certification within three years of employment.
- Completion of a fellowship in Colorectal Surgery.
- Eligibility for Idaho medical licensure and privileges at our facility and affiliated hospitals, along with valid controlled substance registration with the Board of Pharmacy and DEA.
- Experience in open, minimally invasive, and robotic surgical techniques for colorectal cancer treatment, with a preference for expertise in pelvic floor disorders, inflammatory bowel disease, and manometry.
- Ability to perform both basic and complex advanced surgical procedures, including laparoscopic and robotic techniques for benign and malignant colorectal conditions.
