Position Overview
Our organization is on the lookout for a fellowship-trained Pediatric Otolaryngologist to become part of our growing faculty team within the Department of Otolaryngology. This full-time position spans 12 months and offers an open academic rank, along with attending privileges at a prominent Level 1 trauma center that serves South Central and West Florida.
The ideal candidate will work alongside a multidisciplinary group of specialists and engage with the local community to enhance pediatric otolaryngology services.
Key Responsibilities-
Teaching:
- Elevate the otolaryngology residency program by implementing a specialized pediatric rotation that focuses on intricate surgical procedures.
- Encourage and support research projects led by residents in the field of pediatric otolaryngology.
- Establish a Pediatric Otolaryngology Fellowship Program within a two-year timeframe.

Clinical:
- Deliver exceptional medical and surgical care to pediatric patients, prioritizing prevention and enhanced health outcomes.
- Manage referrals from the emergency department at Tampa General Hospital, Brandon Healthplex, and nearby communities.
- Engage in continuing medical education (CME) and community outreach to showcase the department's expertise.

Administrative:
- Play a role in the growth and strategic planning of the department.
- Support the educational and research objectives through mentorship and leadership.

Additional Duties:
- Perform other tasks as assigned by the Department Chair.
- MD or equivalent degree from an accredited institution.
- Completion of a fellowship in Pediatric Otolaryngology.
- Eligibility for appointment at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level.
- Proven excellence in teaching, clinical practice, and service.
- For candidates seeking senior ranks, a history of scholarly contributions and recognition in the field is required.
