We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Anesthesiologist Physician to join our regional team, practicing across various hospitals in West Michigan. Our compensation model is designed to reward flexibility, teamwork, and in-house clinical care. Opportunity Details
  • Position Type: Full-Time or Part-Time (prorated on-call); all shifts are in-house with no reliance on home call for core compensation; exposure to a wide range of high-acuity cases.
  • Schedule: Flexible full-time and part-time options available, with a focus on work-life balance. Call and holiday duties are shared among the team, allowing for individual hourly and compensation flexibility.
  • Location and Hospital Information:
    • Muskegon: Level 2 trauma center
    • Grand Rapids: Level 2 trauma center
    • Grand Haven: Level 4 community hospital
  • Specialty: Anesthesiology
  • Team Information: Work within a care team model, providing medical oversight for CRNAs while having the opportunity to perform cases personally. Engage with a diverse mix of general and complex cases, including orthopedic (elective and trauma), gynecology, ENT, complex vascular, neurosurgery, interventional cardiology (including EP and structural heart), OB, and comprehensive cardiothoracic cases. Utilize peripheral nerve blocks and advanced regional techniques to achieve enhanced recovery goals in collaboration with our surgical colleagues. Opportunities to teach residents and students are also available.

Competitive Compensation & Benefits
  • $285/hour for in-house clinical shifts; 1.0 FTE equals 2,000 hours annually.
  • Competitive pay structure aligned with multi-site clinical coverage.

  • High earning potential: Additional shifts can pay up to $350/hour; opportunities to boost income through flexible scheduling and extra coverage.
  • Up to $75,000 annually in value-based incentives (based on quality, outcomes, and system performance), prorated based on FTE and start date.
  • Sign-on bonus of up to $75,000.
  • Relocation assistance of up to $15,000.

Requirements
  • Physicians must be board certified in a relevant clinical area or board eligible, with a commitment to achieve board certification within five years of the start date (unless otherwise required by applicable medical staff bylaws).
  • Possession of an active Michigan medical license (or the ability to obtain one).
  • DEA license required.
  • ACLS/BLS certification must be maintained.
Duties & Responsibilities

A typical day may involve:

  • Providing direct patient care.

  • Participating in teaching and mentoring activities.
  • Documenting patient information in Epic EMR.
  • Engaging in quality improvement initiatives.
  • Supporting community health initiatives.
