Position OverviewThe Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for coordinating and delivering exceptional, patient-focused care tailored to the specific needs of the department, adhering to the standards and practices relevant to the state and specialty. Working collaboratively with medical professionals and other members of the healthcare team, the RN offers personalized, comprehensive, and compassionate care utilizing established nursing frameworks such as “Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage.” The RN acts as an advocate for patients, families, and caregivers, embodying the organization’s vision, mission, and values to enhance patient experiences and clinical outcomes, ultimately contributing to the overall success of the department.
Key Responsibilities- Regularly assess patient pain levels to ensure effective pain management, including follow-up evaluations after interventions.
- Carry out procedures, monitoring, and other tasks as directed by medical providers, ensuring timely and thorough documentation in patient medical records.
- Deliver outstanding care by promptly responding to patient requests and proactively anticipating their needs.
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers about medical conditions, treatment plans, medications, potential side effects, and follow-up care, simplifying complex medical terminology for better understanding.
- Provide guidance on non-medical follow-up measures, such as healthy lifestyle choices, disease prevention, and self-management strategies.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 6 months of starting employment.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification is required.
- Nonviolent Crisis Intervention training must be completed within 6 months of employment.
- Must hold a Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Possess an Associate Degree, Bachelor’s Degree, or a Registered Nurse Diploma.
- Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course or Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification must be obtained within 1 year of employment.
- No travel is required for this position.
- No prior experience is necessary.
