Job Description
Our organization is on the lookout for a Board Certified/Board Eligible OB/GYN Generalist Physician to become part of our collaborative practice located in the picturesque Lower Valley of New Hampshire. We are committed to attracting and retaining skilled physicians who are eager to join a dynamic, inclusive, and innovative team in Keene, NH.
Overview of the Team- 5 Generalist OB/GYN physicians
- 6 Certified Nurse Midwives (CNMs)
- 3 Advanced Practice Registered Nurses (APRNs)
- Averaging 425 deliveries annually
- Conducting 385 gynecologic surgeries each year
- Offering a blend of outpatient, inpatient, and operating room services
- Full-scope practice encompassing high-risk prenatal and postpartum care, gynecological and well-woman visits, preventative care, family planning, and abortion services
We provide a busy gynecological surgery service with opportunities for both in-office and operating room cases. Our facilities include:
- A minor surgery room
- Access to urogynecology specialty consultations in-office
- Gynecologic oncology consultations available within our healthcare system
- Trained first assistants for surgical procedures, allowing collaboration with practice partners
Our practice operates within a collaborative midwifery model for low-risk pregnancies, while also managing high-risk cases. Responsibilities include:
- Participating in risk-based antenatal evaluations and treatments
- Collaborating with Maternal Fetal Medicine for optimal pregnancy care
- Providing continuous support during labor through our midwifery model
- Offering a robust prenatal education program, including intake and 28-week education visits
- Performing complex operative and surgical deliveries
- Managing obstetrical emergencies as they arise
- Caring for patients during the postpartum period in the hospital
Our call schedule is shared among the generalist OB/GYN group, featuring:
- 24-hour call shifts on weekdays
- Limited call day clinics for urgent visits
- Weekend call coverage
- First call for emergency room and gynecology cases, with midwives as primary call for obstetrics
Our clinic offers a balanced schedule that allows for documentation during work hours, with the following features:
- AI scribe technology for efficient documentation
- Nursing triage available during the day for patient inquiries
- In-office behavioral health consultations
Engagement in our academic environment includes:
- Participation in Department Grand Rounds and CME presentations
- Contributing to policy and procedure development within multidisciplinary teams
As part of our commitment to education, you will:
- Supervise and teach Family Medicine Residents
- Guide medical students during their core OB/GYN rotations
- Participate in the education of midwifery, nurse practitioner, nursing, and other students

- Hospital and medical staff committees
- Maintain timely and thorough documentation of patient care
- Respond to work-related electronic communications within 3 business days, maintaining a professional tone
